Bio

Me, hiking. Olympic Rainforest.

That’s not lederhosen!

I grew up on a small farm outside of a small town in Iowa. I’ve always had a desire to write, and graduated from Iowa State University with a double major in English and Advertising. My immediate career objective was advertising agency copywriting, but the intricate tapestry that is life led me elsewhere. I landed in Olympia, Washington, where currently, I am a real estate agent.

My writing experience began with writing news stories for the Iowa State Daily newspaper and Iowa Engineering magazine while in college. Professionally, I wrote mid-market radio and print copy, and most recently I wrote a column for The Olympian newspaper, and have been featured in The Seattle Times and Bellingham Herald.

Although my passion has been and still is fiction, several years ago I was called to write a non-fiction, inspirational book titled Overcoming Ordinary, completed in 2011.

Aside from finishing my latest novel (to be unveiled once I secure an agent), I have begun a thriller.

I am a member of the Pacific Northwest Writers Association and have attended various writing conferences, workshops, and classes there, as well as at The Evergreen State College in Olympia.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, hiking, coffee, wine, and virtually anything outdoors. Including wine.
